If you’ve ever been in the car on a journey with kids, you may be familiar with that phrase. Children are generally not known for their patience; it’s a trait we learn and develop over time (hopefully!)
Advent, that stretch of time, when we wait and prepare for Christmas, can produce a similar reaction – Are we nearly there yet?
The answer is Yes!
This Sunday is the 4th and final Sunday of Advent, and it is the Sunday when we traditionally focus on the theme of Love (if you come to me this Sunday after the service and can tell me all four Advent themes then I might have a wee something for you!)
What better Sunday then to have our Nativity service and tell the beautiful story of how God loved us so much that he came as a tiny baby to be with us and to provide a way, once and for all, for us to be with him.
This is an All-In service, which means everyone of all ages will be worshipping together for the whole service.
As in previous years everyone will get a chance to take part in the Nativity. You don’t need to dress up, but if you want to then it would be great if you could dress as a shepherd or sheep (ground floor seats) or an angel (galleries and balcony). There will be simple props available for everyone and the lines will be on the screen when the time comes for your part, so come ready to join in.
See you on Sunday!
Blessings
