People, palm fronds and praise – it can only mean one thing- it’s Palm Sunday!
This Sunday we are joining together as all ages at the start of Holy Week and our journey to the cross and resurrection.
As I have been preparing and praying (more Ps!) in the run up to Sunday, I have been drawn back to the words of Jesus in response to the teachers of the law when they demanded that he silence his noisy followers on that very first Palm Sunday.
“I tell you,” He replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” Luke 19:40
It’s made me wonder. Am I living a life of praise to Jesus day by day or is my praise limited to the songs I sing on a Sunday morning?
On Sunday we are going to take some time to praise together in song, but also in other creative ways. We are going to think about how we live lives of praise that make Jesus evident in the communities that God has placed us; to make sure we are crying out the praises of God and not relying on the stones to step up!
See you Sunday!
