What is QP Youth?

QP Youth is for those in P7S6. We want to see young people encounter Jesus, experience the love of the Father, move in the power of the Spirit and be equipped and released into what God calls them to. As a church our vision is to Call a City to Life and this is no different with our young people – they have a part to play in seeing this city called to life.

Our main time together each week takes place on Sunday mornings. We begin by gathering together with all ages in the church at our Camphill building (20 Balvicar Drive, G42 8QS) and after spending some time worshipping all together, we go into our different learning groups to explore God’s story and its impact on our lives today. Those in P7-S6 go to The Point (180 Queen’s Drive, G42 8QD) for this, but we all head there together. Our service at Camphill begins at 10:30am and we finish up around 12:00am.

Youth ministry at The Point

Sundays

QP Youth (P7–S6)

We gather for fun, prayer and spiritual input. These are great times to catch up with one another and get to know other young people around the church.

This takes place during the service at Camphill beginning at 10:30am. During our time, we catch up over a cuppa, look at Scripture, pray and explore what God is saying to us.

QP Older Youth (S4–S6)

Those in S4-S6 are also part of our Em Gen group which meets on a Sunday evening at The Point (180 Queen’s Drive, G42 8QD) from 6:30-8pm for an informal hangout – as well as some faith discussions.

Socials

We look to arrange various fun activities through the year. Much of this will be organised through ChurchSuite. Please feel free to get in touch about social events and ChurchSuite access, by emailing josh@qpbc.org.

Meet josh

Josh is a “southsider” by nature and location.

He started out in teaching in 2019 after graduating with a masters degree in Education. Josh has volunteered in youth and led young adult groups elsewhere in Glasgow prior to this role.

Josh loves a game of pool, family time, a good laugh, chats over coffee and lots of football!

QP Youth Team

Our youth team are amazing! We have a whole group of people who have a heart for our youth and God’s call to engage with youth mission. Each member of our team is part of Queen’s Park Baptist Church and all our youth volunteers are PVG checked. We regularly provide training for our team both internally and with options to access external training.

The team have a great fun working together with young people. Each member of our team brings something unique and important to the team and people serve in a variety of ways through different aspects of the youth ministry.
